· Scripting— The user can customize the behavior of the system in detail using script editing wizard.

· Alert—the full version comes with a rich set of methods to alert the user when a suspicious activity is detected.  The methods include emailing, FTP upload, HTTP upload, automated phone call, playing a sound file locally, and executing some application locally.

· Monitor— the full version implements an option for EyeC to send frames at a fixed interval to remote sites using FTP and/or HTTP protocols.

 

 

· Automated connection/Shutdown of internet connection— one of design goals for EyeC is to keep it running for indefinite time without any user interactions.  The major problem is to make sure that alerts can always be send via internet.  To cope with different connection schmes, EyeC records  keyboard and mouse activities of the user to connect to the internet.  It then plays back when needed.

· Repository management — the full version implements an intelligent way to manage the repository of reports.  It removes old reports based on a user specified replacement policy, including FIFO, LIFO, LSS (Least Shape Score) and SKIP (skipping every other frame—applicable only to the monitor operation).

· Requirements— PC with Windows 2000 or XP.  WDM/VFW compatible camera.
